Hello!  I’m Julie Spivak Johnson, owner and sole photographer of Sweet Potato Photography, LLC located in the suburbs of Philadelphia.  I’m a devoted wife, a mother of two kind and mindful adult children, an impressive household chief chef, and I am crazy passionate about my photography career.

My newborn photography started with a job at hospital-endorsed Bella Baby Inc., where I was trained to safely take beautiful portraits of 1-3 day old babies during their hospital stay.  Shortly after, in 2014, I created Sweet Potato Photography, LLC. with the original intention of only shooting newborns.  For the past seven years I have had a blast incorporating child, family, maternity and corporate portraiture, studio work and events into my newborn business.

Today, I’m excited to announce that I am focusing exclusively on my ultimate passion, newborn baby photography. I’ve always had an affinity towards babies.  Each and every baby that I have worked with has melted my heart and it’s difficult to leave them at the end of my sessions.

I’ll work closely with you to create everything you dream of in a baby photo and more.  I’ll exceed your expectations in every way.  I consider my finished products works of art and I love every minute of the process.

Here is some “need to know” information to make your experience the best it can be:  It is best to book your photo session during your 2nd trimester so I can get you my calendar.  Then call or text me within 24-48 hours of having your baby and we’ll schedule your session for between your baby’s 8th-12th day of life.
